Color
I've finally hit that point, the one where I can no longer remember which colors are in my watercolor palettes so tonight I made a color map in a notebook for future reference.
I made maps for the first three palettes tonight, and as I was doing so I started wishing I had one of those huge palettes, the kind that holds 36+ pans. I have gobs of tubes of paint that are never used because there's no room in my current palettes for them to live.
My latest acquisition, a Pima watercolor palette. The colors are numbered so it's hard telling what the actual colors are, am hoping I will find out someday what they are, I like them they're bright clear colors.

Pastel & Charcoal Heaven
I ordered a couple of more pan pastels when I placed my order for the Derwent XL Charcoal sticks. I have two tints and maybe a half dozen shades to extra dark shades I want and my palette will be completed.

New Paints
Some new paints, I'm in love with Pam Carriker's new fluid matte paints and plan to purchase more colors!
As you can see here there's a considerable difference in the amount of paint and for the same price point!
My new half pan watercolor palette.
And here it is filled with watercolor paint!

Experiments in Malachite
Working on some nummies with watercolors, inks, and golden's fluid acrylic paints. Crow is from my stencil collection through StencilGirl Products!
As I said earlier I totally forgot that I had the watercolor crayons so I broke them out and started making some color palettes with the various crayons to see what colors will work in an upcoming series of one offs. I'm loving the blues and greens for sure with malachite being my favorite thus far.

WIP- Bins
Charcoal on gesso on baltic birch plywood.
This is the second time I've tried painting over charcoal, ok I'm using a brush to paint with, and I have to admit I absolutely loathe it! First off I find myself wanting to paint 'inside' the lines like a coloring book, mistake number one, and secondly I keep expecting my brush to respond like my palette knife and well we all know that's not going to happen, mistake number two. So when the first coat of paint is done drying I'm planning to go at it again with my palette knife and this time ignore those line!
