Hi! I just wanted to let you know that I was very, very pleased with my experiments in rusting fabric. I was accepted onto the Fiber Friends blog rather recently...end of June, I think(?) Anyway, the ideas for rusting fabric were seemingly everywhere, and I knew I had to try it. It worked like a charm and I was very, very happy with the results. In fact, I couldn't believe they turned out exactly how I had hoped they would! I rusted old, square nails and have since created an altered book using the pieces of rusted fabric on the recto page (I think that's the correct word for the right hand side of a page in the book!) Since you seem to be the person who started this interesting idea on Fiber Arts Friends, I wanted to thank you for it! I plan on rusting more fabric in the future. Susan
