Copper Crow
I added a copper crow to a bundle dyed silk crepe de chine scar,f I dyed sometime ago, using my Three Crows Stencil today.
I like the results enough that I plan to try this on some other scarves I've dyed.

Egg
Now to make the egg box for the niche, and then audition backgrounds for the egg box, I'm thinking copper or silver leaf.
Progress
This whitish egg will be replaced by one that has been painted to look like a crows egg, it's currently drying. Now to make the sides for the egg niche and make a decision on the larger niche's background. To paint the niche background copper or not to paint? To collage vinage papers and fabrics or not to collage?

Porch Update - 091011
Closer and yet so far away, the new section of soffit is painted, the first coats have been applied to it and three of the porch columns.
The porch rail is my next project, well after I finish painting the south wall of the porch and the window trims.
I have the trims to paint on the tops and the bottoms of the columns, and then it'll be time for paint coat number two. The roundish trims are a pain to paint around, two shades of the sagey greens and a copperpot stripe in between the rounded trims.

Front Porch
All I have to do now is wash the porch and the furniture later this evening, sometime this summer the ceiling will be scraped, sanded, and then painted sky blue. Then I'll paint the south facing wall, the wall with the oval window, Copper Pot (Sherwin Williams) and then finally the porch floor. I'll paint the columns a ruby red color and the porch rails, after they are repaired, will be various shades of sage green.

WIP - Deer Slayer
The copper nest is installed, now I'm having problems with the abalone egg, I've tried several wrapping techniques but nothing worked in a way that was visually appealing. Will experiment further tomorrow, will also paint the tips of the antlers.

Prairie Potholes - Harvest No. 1
Prairie Potholes - Harvest No. 1 Working on a new harvest series, thinking about what makes the prairie the prairie as one really doesn't see a whole lot in the way of fens, marshes, potholes, etc., anymore. This piece available in my store.
