Birds at the Refuge

Birds in flight at Neil Smith Wildlife Refuge

I miss not getting to see the bison or the elk, well the bison we did see were a mile plus off in the tall grass.  Am hoping to go back and visit again soon.

More Prairie Inspiration

I'm not sure how well the fence stands out in this image, it really pops in the larger version. This is the fence that's employed at the Refuge to keep the bison and elk contained.

More grass, more birds.

Neal Smith Wildlife Refuge - Prairie Burn

Neal Smith Wildlife Refuge

From the road!  I finally remembered to take a photo from the road today, I'm not getting out as much as I used to since I no longer have a vehicle.  This was taken at the Neal Smith Wildlife Refuge, they were doing a prairie burn today, near Prairie City, Iowa.

Solo Show Hung

Hung my solo show in the "Ding Darling" Gallery at the Neal Smith Wildlife Refuge Center today.  It looks great, there will be info sheets hanging between the large panels.  It took us, Doreen and I, an hour to hang these panels.

I can see I need to work on my hanging mechanisms, it's picture wire on the back but for some reason they really lean forward.
