Flower Joy
They're still alive!
It's time to divide the succulents into individual planters.
And I may have to transplant the ferns in this terrarium, it's growing like mad!

Totally Tomato
Color inspiration from my garden.
Love the distinct color bands.
Yes, joy really can be found from something as simple as a tri-colored tomato from my own garden.

Queen Anne's Crows No. 7 in Progress
I ditched the clock body altogether and am so much happier for having done so, now to create a panel (the one in the upper portion of the niche is a sample) for the upper section of the niche and this piece is good to go. I'm off to stitch up a new panel for this piece!

Beading Resumes
Was starting to make mistakes so decided to take the rest of the day off from writing and started beading instead. Am working on the branch portion now, trying to integrate it as part of the whole piece.
More bead soups, this time greens, browns, and brownish purples so as to look like an actual branch in my crabapple tree.
Ok I know I've shown this last one before, multiple times actually, but I sooooooo love this color combination! The only colors that make me even more happy are sage greens, purple sages, and golden greens. It's hard to explain... except to tell you to go hang out on the open prairie in the fall.

The Marsh is Green!
Well after it dried up it rained, but not enough to fill the marsh again, now it's filled with vegetation most of it appears to be fox tail.
Bjorkboda marsh all greened up, can't wait for the rains to fill it again.

Plant ID
Whatever it is it wintered over, I'm not sure if it's mustard greens or not, ideas???
If you click on the images a larger image will pop up.
When I picked off a part of a leaf it smelled like lettuce or grass not peppery.

Studio Update 021212
Waiting on one of the large shelves to finish drying before I start putting heavy items on it, waiting for paint to dry/cure can be torturous! The two floral teapots on the top shelf belonged to my mother, they really pop against the verdant green color.

Tomato Hutch 012812
The shelves are a tomato red color, the back a tomato vine green, and the sides a tomato blossom yellowish color, so with that in mind I'm calling this my tomato hutch!

Dinner 112011
Dinner: florence potatoes (named after a woman named florence) home canned green beans, pickled beets, and honey orange marmalade ginger glazed smoked ham. Here's the ham sitting atop my 1952 kenmore stove, even though we baked it out on the grill.

Painting Update 092411
Scraped and being primed.
And now some paint. The scaffolding and ladder stages will have to be moved so that he can get the edges of the bump out section.

Ghost Garden
John says it looks like I'm getting ready for Halloween, NOT, I'm just trying to keep my cukes from freezing.
Tomato garden, under cover to protect my maters of course.
Under the fabric, gobs of green maters!!!

Porch Update - 091011
Closer and yet so far away, the new section of soffit is painted, the first coats have been applied to it and three of the porch columns.
The porch rail is my next project, well after I finish painting the south wall of the porch and the window trims.
I have the trims to paint on the tops and the bottoms of the columns, and then it'll be time for paint coat number two. The roundish trims are a pain to paint around, two shades of the sagey greens and a copperpot stripe in between the rounded trims.

Studio Redux - Update 062911
Studio Curtians: I was going to make some simple curtains/drapes from white fabric but after looking at this quarters issue of Where Women Create I decided to go out on a limb and add some color to my otherwise bottle green studio!
I'll have to paint more fabric this weekend, the trauma there is just unbelievable, NOT :-) as these two inspirations pieces won't be enough for one window even.
