I used my Black Birds in Tree Stencil from StencilGirl Products for the left side of each panel, and will be adding other crows, birds, and of course Queen Anne's Lace to the right side of each panel along with some text.

Queen Anne's Crows No. 7 in Progress
I ditched the clock body altogether and am so much happier for having done so, now to create a panel (the one in the upper portion of the niche is a sample) for the upper section of the niche and this piece is good to go. I'm off to stitch up a new panel for this piece!

WIP - Crow on Yellow
Now with a beaded edge that needs some attention, mostly the upper right hand corner.
I'll work on the corner a bit tomorrow to "square" it up, add a few filler beads here and there, and then the center panel is finished.

WIP - Crow on Yellow
I have a quarter of the edging to finish and then it's time to contemplate the niche in which this panel shall live.

WIP - Bjorkboda 081612
Now with some dark teal cotton thread.
I love the overlap of the cotton panels.
I forgot to remove the dye technique notes from the botton of the fabric panel, so now to figure out what to do with that little bit and then it's time for some hand stitching.

Inset Panel for Window
Had to wait until the sun went down but here's the inset panel, I covered it in a natural cotton muslin on both sides. I plan to paint some fabric tomorrow for the next inset panel that will be going into the dining room window. After we finish that window we have one more window, an oval window, to work on and we are done.

Triptych Update
I was all set to quit working on this particular piece, the triptych that is, and decided to try backing the panels with canvas in hopes that doing so would make stitching the interfacing easier. I was correct, it did I have yet to have to clean a goober off of my needle, I'm not sure if it's the coarseness of the canvas or what but WOW what a difference it is making. I'm hoping to have the core stitching done tonight so I can apply the rest the paint tomorrow.

Studio Window
The white panels which are a reclaimed damask table cloth, were already there but apparently were not heavy enough.
Brrrrrrrrrrr

Big gap still the draft is now coming in under the new panel! I'm thinking a doubled over bit of fabric to make the panel hang properly.
I have a Maine Coon that is going to be VERY upset when he realizes I blocked his window off, every morning I'd come into my studio and find the curtians opened from said kitty. Reality bites!
Well it's REALLY cold here so to combat cranking the heat, which I currently have sitting at 67F (yeah I know very odd for me does that tell you just how cold it is here???) Sooooo I made another panel for my studio window, it needs some fabric on the bottom to make it longer. I might add I have a Maine Coon kitty cat that's going to be VERY upset as he figured out he could part the curtains and look outside - all the while letting my precious studio heat out through the window - well not anymore ;-)I'm already noticing a huge difference the draft isn't there anymore and this window is caulked, mortited, etc... I can still feel a draft coming in under where the panel doesn't overlap the window sill, gotta fix that today! The fabric panel is some heavy Kona Cotton fabric that I painted with fabric paints and shiva paintstiks. This piece of art cloth is actually unfinished and quite frankly it won't be finished until next summer, it's too cold to care about what it looks like right now.
